About the Artist

Juliana Romnes has spent the past 20 years exploring her home state of Florida through the medium of photography, and her work has been exhibited in group exhibitions at museums and galleries in Florida, including the Lake County Museum of Art, Tavares; Butterfield Garage Gallery, St. Augustine; Southeast Museum of Photography, Daytona Beach; Snap!Space, Orlando; and W.B. Tatter Gallery in St. Augustine, Florida among others. She attended the Southeast Center for Photographic Studies at Daytona State College and went on to receive a Bachelor of Science in Photography and a Master’s Degree in Nonprofit Management, both from the University of Central Florida.  Romnes is a member of the Florida Artist Group, a distinguished group of visual artists who have attained international, national, and statewide recognition. 

In 2021 and 2022, her photographs were published in Cadence, the anthology from the Florida State Poet’s Association and she has also won numerous awards at the St. Augustine Art Association, including Best in Show in their 2021 Miniature Marvels exhibition.

In 2022, a solo exhibition of her work titled Coastal Impressions, was presented at Arts on Douglas in New Smyrna Beach, where Romnes is currently represented.
